During Sunday Night Heat, Edge and Christian walk off their hosting duties at WWF New York, take a walk through New York City, use the stage name “Essa Rios”, invade the set of Carson Daly’s TRL, try on a pair of crazy ass sunglasses, and interrupt a horse and buggy proposal, all while being stalked by someone in a Kane mask, which later turns out to be Steve ‘The Brooklyn Brawler’ Lombardi.

Heath Slater def. Carlito
Heath Slater sent an important message to Carlito Tuesday night, a week after the Superstar spit apple in the Rookie’s face on WWE NXT: He is not backing down. With his Pro, Christian, at ringside, Slater defeated Carlito just minutes after the apple-spitting Pro said he should be happy he humiliated him like that and should be begging him to do it again. Carlito’s Rookie, Michael Tarver, could only watch in shock as Carlito was rolled up by the “one-man rock band” Slater. With this victory, Slater earns the impressive distinction of becoming the first Rookie to defeat a Pro in singles action on WWE NXT.

The opportunity to compete for a World Championship is so significant to the Superstars of WWE that every year eight of the most fearless and talented competitors risk it all for this very goal in a Money in the Bank Ladder Match.
First contested at WrestleMania 21 in 2005, this dangerous, but rewarding contest pits eight Superstars against one another in a battle to climb a ladder and snatch a briefcase hanging precariously above the ring. Inside the case is a contract giving the winner an opportunity to face a World Champion at a time of their choosing throughout a 12-month period.
This unique ability to “cash in” a championship opportunity at any moment has given Money in the Bank winners a serious advantage over their opponents on many occasions. Edge, the first-ever “Mr. Money in the Bank,” cashed in his contract at New Year’s Revolution 2006, defeating WWE Champion John Cena immediately after the 12 Rounds star had just successfully defended his title in an Elimination Chamber Match. At Extreme Rules in 2009, CM Punk elected to face Jeff Hardy moments after The Charismatic Enigma defeated Edge for the World Heavyweight Championship in a grueling Tables, Ladders and Chairs Match.
Every Superstar who has cashed in a Money in the Bank contract has gone on to win a World Championship, including CM Punk, who won the contest at WrestleMania in 2008 and 2009. This amazing percentage for victory has proven that the risks of this perilous match are certainly worth the reward.

Christian def. Cody Rhodes
Rhodes came out and cut a promo on Randy Orton about how Orton no longer wants to be a part of Legacy. Rhodes hit a great moonsault which topped off a match with a lot of top-rope action. Christian hit the Kill Switch and picked up the pin.

Christian def. Cody Rhodes
Cody came out and cut a promo on being better than Randy and Ted, and being the cream of the crop of Legacy. Christian came out next to a nice pop. A fun back and forth match that Christian really had the crowd into. Christian won with the Killswitch

The Best Entrant to the WWE trophy was also a very close-run affair, with a shock twist. The returning Christian beat newcomer Sheamus, despite the Irishman becoming a world champion.
Best Entrant to the WWE
1. Christian – 39.5%
2. Sheamus – 39.3%
3. Drew McIntyre – 9.2%
4. Gail Kim – 4.2%
5. Yoshi Tatsu – 3.5%
Sun Commentary
With his shock jump from TNA in January 2009, Jason Reso’s return to the WWE was heralded with glee by his adoring fans. Hopes that he’d jump straight into a feud with Jeff Hardy and/or storyline brother Edge were quickly dashed though, with the returning Christian having to start from the bottom.
However while many would have seen a move to ECW as a slap in the face, he worked harder than anyone — enjoying a long reign with the belt and carrying many lesser talents to good bouts. If anything it’s increased the number of peeps following Christian, and giving him a shock Best Entrant win ahead of the hotly-tipped Sheamus.
The Irish grappler is perhaps in the opposite boat, being pushed beyond where fans think he should be. That said his shock WWE championship over John Cena and backstage friendship with Triple H means he will be a big star for many years to come.
