Dark Rising 2 Update

While on Twitter last night, I was looking at Andrew Cymek’s profile, to see any updates on Dark Rising 2 and a fan asked about Jay’s involvement in the upcoming film. This was his responce:

andrewcymek @cr0ssmyheart no Jay Reso in DR2 unfortunately. We’re definitely missing us some ‘Ricky’ lovin’.

So it turns out that Jay, unfortunately will not be reviving his role of Ricky, this time at least :(

It seems that on WWE.com they are advertising that the Undertaker / Shawn Michaels Wrestlemania 25 match, will be featured on this weeks ECW so seeing as that match was about 40 minutes long, there is a possibility that nothing else will be featured on the show.

Also I just looked over at Andrew Cymek’s twitter account (writer / director of Dark Rising & Medium Raw) and he has posted the following:

North Bay bound. It begins again…

After the first production meeting for DR2 it’s all starting to feel real again… Real and cold.

So it seems that filiming for Dark Rising 2 could actually be starting this week. This could be the reason why the Wrestlemania match is being repeated, as I doubt Christian will be able to make it.

A HUGE thanks goes out to Sam for informing all of the peeps on Captain Charisma about this, thanks again Sam!

First off, on Defiant Empire’s official website, (for those who do not know, they are the production company behind the awesome Dark Rising (2005) and the upcoming Medium Raw) has graciously provided some exclusive pictures from the set of Medium Raw. Once of which features Jay, who stars as Officer Pete. You can see a preview above, click on it to see the picture in full.

Secondly, they have also provided some more exciting news. Dark Rising: Summer Strikes Back has been announced, that’s right, a sequel to Dark Rising, which is to feature Jay once more. You can read the article posted by Defiant Empire below.

If you see sand worms and demons roaming the peaceful streets of North Bay this summer – no need to worry, because Princess Warrior Summer Vale is on the scene! Black Walk and Defiant Empire have set up the “base camp” for their two latest productions in North Bay. Their television series “The Savage Tales of Summer Vale” and their feature film “Summer Strikes Back!” will be commencing principal photography this August. Both projects originate from a feature film entitled “Dark Rising”; a project the companies teamed up to produce in 2006.
