In a recent interview with Shockblast Media, The Ref Tony S. shared a few words on what is was like to work with Christian and also talked about his top five wrestling tag-teams of all time. Below is an excerpt for what he had to say:
What is your favorite match that you have called involving WWE or TNA Superstars?
I have been very fortunate and blessed to be involved in this industry for nearly five years and it is a pleasure to share the same ring with the best in the business today. Whether the talent that you’ve worked with have competed overseas, or made it to one of the top organizations, either for a one-night tryout, still on a contract, or coming off of a stint and returning to the independents, being able to work with such great talent is surely a rewarding experience.
In April of 2008, I had the opportunity to work with then-TNA Superstar Christian Cage. I, like many who are currently involved in this industry, are wrestling fans and I, like many, had many favorite superstars growing up and the “Instant Classic” was one of them. I could remember myself and my best friend emulating Edge & Christian’s “five-second pose” and their signature catchphrases; and to have the chance to meet and work with him in a main event was a rewarding experience. His opponent, Dan Frietas, had the unique chance to wrestle against the “Instant Classic” in his hometown. Dan is a person that I have great respect for and since I broke in the independent scene, whenever I officiated his matches, has always told me, “Tonight, your career is on the line”, and that night, it was.

In a recent interview with Live Audio Wrestling, Trish Stratus and Amy “Lita” Dumas stopped by to make an announcement and to take calls and e-mails from the fans. Trish also shared a few words on how Tristian came about. Here’s what she said:
When we had the Jericho and Christian thing, that started with Jericho and I talking about how cool it would be if we did something together, some kind of match, you know, and then we talked to Amy and Christian and we just put this little idea together. It was supposed to be a one-off and Vince thought the chemistry was great with everyone and it just turned to a little bit more than that and obviously the Jericho/Trish story went on after that and it was kinda cool…
…the only time that I was really bummed that I didn’t get to do the thing that I wanted to do, was Jericho and I wanted to be this babyface couple. That whole storyline was supposed to lead up to Jericho and I being this babyface couple and no-one had really seen just this really silly, campy couple out there and it just didn’t happen of course, but then obviously, Vince saw the bigger picture and said ‘No, I think we should do this’, which of course we were like ‘No, we want to do this’, but then it was like okay actually that’s a really good idea.
