ECW Championship – Extreme Rules
Christian vs. Ezekiel Jackson (w/ William Regal)
Jackson looks to have the advantage at the start as he uses his power to floor Christian. Christian heads to the outside and picks up a kendo stick to level the beast. Christian is back in the ring, and Zack Ryder hits the ring. He starts to attack Christian. Remember, this is anything goes tonight. Rosa Mendes has accompanied him to the ring. Christian gains the advantage and picks Ryder up and sends him face first into a trash can! Rosa enters the ring and starts to yell at Christian. She smacks him right across the face! Christian is not sure how to react, but before he can, Tiffany runs from the back into the ring. She spears Rosa and throws her out of the ring!! Tiffany kicks Ryder & Rosa from ringside as we head to commercial.

We come back as Jackson throws Christian to the outside. Jackson heads for the ring steps and slams Christian head first into them. Jackson picks up a trash can to hit Christian, but the Champion dodges, jumps on the ring steps and takes flight. He conneects with a missile dropkick to the trashcan which Jackson is holding.

Ezekiel heads to the shopping cart which contains all of the match’s weapons. He throws them all into the ring and then tries to shove the cart in Christian’s head. The Champ dodges, but ends up getting thrown head first and landing in the cart. Both men are back in the ring as Jackson whips Christian into the corner. Christian dodges a splash and hits his see-saw kick into a trash can lid that Jackson was holding. Jackson staggers and then slams a trashcan into Christian. The Champ is able to kick out of the cover.

Jackson heads to the outside and he and Regal grab a table from under the ring. While they are putting it in the ring, Christian connects with a baseball slide which slams the table into the two men. Christian goes for the cover, but Zeke kicks outs. Jackson throws Christian onto the table which is laying on the ground in the ring. Christian kicks out of the cover.

Jackson sends Christian to the corner and sets him on the top turnbuckle. Jackson then backs up and sets up the table. Christian looks to be hit with a Superplex, but escapes. He hits Jackson with a kendo stick and then heads to the outside to scare away Regal. Christian gets back in the ring and once again hits Jackson with a kendo stick. He is setting up for his finisher, but Regal has run back to the ring. He hits Regal with the Killswitch! This is the only moment Jackson needed as he picks Christian up and sends him crashing through the table with his version of the Rock Bottom.

Not one to back down from a confrontation, Christian personally accepted the challenge later in the evening and then upped the ante. Not only will the ECW Championship be on the line next Tuesday, but the match will be contested under Extreme Rules

The Abraham Washington Show
with ECW Champion Christian
Abe welcomes everyone to his show and the people of Memphis have confused applause for booing. Abe talks about the rumors for his recent absence and says that NBC has been asking him to replace Conan O’Brien. Abe says he turned it down and asks Tony why and Tony tells the truth and says that Abe isn’t that good. Abe turned it down because of the WWE Universe. Abe says that he is loyal as well as entertaining. Tony asks Abe to be funny.

Abe brings out the current ECW Champion Christian and he takes his spot at the couch. Abe congratulates Christian on his victory over Ezekiel Jackson. Abe tells Christian that he is the longest running champion in the WWE at this time. Christian likes being told about that stat. He says that he is proud of being the ECW champion and he is proud that he has defeated all challengers.

We are interrupted by the man who would be the king of Bayside, Zack Ryder who is accompanied by Rosa Mendes in her best Jennifer Lopez outfit. Zack Ryder wants to talk about the biggest news of the week. We see the mugshot of Gregory Helms and then he talks about Helms’ recent arrest. Zack wants everyone to refer to him as the Heart and Soul Superhero of ECW. Christian asks Zack if he is jealous of Helms for making it on TMZ. Christian says that Zack is jealous of Helms because they are both on television, but Helms gets recognized. Zack mentions that he was in the Royal Rumble and Christian says that he blinked and missed it. Christian says that Helms made a mistake. Christian says that Tiffany made a mistake by giving Abe a talk show. Christian says that he made a mistake by coming on Abe’s talk show. Christian says that Zack made a mistake today thinking that his hair looked cool and then he made a bigger mistake hooking up with Tila Tequila. Zack pushes Christian but Christian pushes Zack back and we are out of time.

Later in the night, while questioning Ezekiel Jackson about his loss to ECW Champion Christian at Royal Rumble, Gregory Helms was tormented by Big Zeke and his associate, William Regal. Instead of answering Helms’ questions, the ruthless duo attacked the interviewer, taunting him about his “rough week.” Luckily for Helms, Christian emerged in his defense.

ECW Champion Christian vs Zack Ryder (w/ Rosa Mendes)
They lock up and Ryder with a side head lock and shoulder tackle. They lock up again and Ryder with another side head lock but Christian with a shoulder tackle and cover. Ryder goes into the ropes to stop Christian. Ryder with a kick and forearm to the back followed by a kick and forearms. Ryder chokes Christian in the ropes followed by a forearm. Ryder with a forearm to the back but Christian with a spinning heel kick. Ryder goes to the apron and Christian runs into a shoulder from Ryder. Ryder tries to suplex Christian to the floor but Christian blocks it and he pulls Ryder onto the apron and then Christian with a hesitation drop kick that sends Ryder into the announce table.

They return to the ring and Christian goes to the turnbuckles and he is caught by Ryder who catapults him into the bottom rope. Ryder punches Christian and the referee warns him. Ryder with a near fall on Christian and then he puts Christian in a reverse chin lock. Ryder with a leaping leg lariat for a near fall. Christian goes up top but Ryder punches him and tries for a superplex but Christian pushes him off. Christian with a cross body for a two count. Christian with a running forearm but he runs into an elbow. Ryder goes to the turnbuckles and Christian catches him and hits a flapjack.

Christian leaps onto Ryder’s back and chokes him in the ropes. Christian goes to the floor and he punches Ryder. Christian goes up top and hits a missile drop kick and gets a near fall. Christian goes to the turnbuckles for a springboard sunset flip but Ryder drops down and gets a near fall. Ryder misses a charge into the corner and Christian with a pendulum kick followed by a back elbow from the turnbuckles. Christian sets for the Killswitch and he hits it. Ezekiel Jackson comes to the ring with William Regal and the referee calls for the bell.
No Contest

After the match, Regal with a knee to the head and then Jackson sends Christian into the ring steps, as ECW comes to a close

The show kicks off with William Regal standing in the middle of the ring. He says that it is, “his honor and your privilege” to introduce the NEXT ECW Champion, Ezekiel Jackson. Big Zeke makes his way out to the ring and starts to put himself over. He says that this Sunday at the Rumble he will in fact be claiming the ECW Championship Gold.

Christian’s music hits and he comes out to the entrance ramp. He points out that Jackson likes to quote the Bible. Christian says he has a quote of his own. Ezekiel 25:17 “I will strike down on those with great vengeance and furious anger, those who attempt to destroy my brothers. And you will know, my peeps will know, that my name is Captain Charisma. When I lay my vengeance on thee”. I don’t think that was an EXACT quote, though maybe it is from the New Revised Standard Version….

Zeke says that Christian may be a comedian, but Christian has never faced an opponent like himself. Christian said that Zeke is correct that last week he was left sprawled in the ring, but in his defense, it was two against one. Christian said that this week he is evening the score, and Kane’s music hits! The Big Red Machine makes his way down to the ring, and this Tag Team match is up next!

Christian & Kane vs. William Regal & Ezekiel Jackson

As the show returns, this match is already underway. Regal and Christian are exchanging blows in the ring, with Christian connecting with a monkey flip. Regal tags in Ezekiel Jackson, so in response Christian tags in Kane. The two monsters square off. They both bounce off the ropes and attempts shoulder blocks, but neither man goes down. Kane catches Zeke in a side headlock, to the crowd’s support. Kane gets whipped into the ropes and tries another shoulder block, but Kane still cannot take him down. Zeke is still yelling that he is “too strong” to be taken to the mat by Kane. Zeke finds his armed grabbed as Kane tags in Christian.

Christian comes into the ring by jumping on Zeke’s arm. The Champion gets caught with a quick scoop slam, so he tags in Kane. Zeke is able to whip Kane into the corner, which allows him to tag in William Regal. William drops Kane to the mat and locks up Kane’s legs. Kane kicks Regal away, but the reprieve is short as Regal tags in Jackson. Ezekiel sets Kane in the corner and connects with a shoulder thrust, followed by a Stinger Splash. Jackson goes for the cover, but Kane kicks out.

Kane is locked in the middle of the ring by a front headlock. Kane uses the crowd to break free, and then connect with a punch. Jackson goes for another splash, but Kane moves out of the way and tags in the ECW Champion. Christian comes running into the ring and connects with a clothesline, followed by a missile dropkick from the second rope. Christian hits a neckbreaker, and then knocks Regal off the apron. He throws Jackson out of the ring, and then springboards off the ropes for a leaping crossbody to the outside!

We come back as Jackson throws Christian to the outside. Jackson runs out after him and runs through him with a huge clothesline. Jackson rolls Christian back into the ring, and then tags in Regal. At first the British star is able to take Christian down to the mat, but the Canadian one escapes, leaps to the second rope, and then hits a sunset flip. Regal quickly rolls out and tags in Jackson. Christian is starting to tire, so he is really falling victim to the power of Jackson.

The commentators point out that they don’t even think Christian can hit his finisher on Jackson this Sunday. The size difference might be too great. Jackson tags in William Regal. Christian gets caught with a beautiful butterfly Suplex. Regal tags in Jackson who comes in to try a cover, but Christian kicks out. Jackson pushes Christian into the corner, were he and Regal begin to double team the Champion. Kane runs over to try and make the save, but the referee stops him and he is forced to head to the outside.

Christian is placed in the corner by Regal, and he is able to use his speed to jump from the second rope and connect with a European Uppercut. This allows Christian to get to Kane for the hot tag. The Big Red Machine enters the ring full of fury as he unloads with punches on Regal. Kane throws him to the ground, and then heads to the top rope. Kane connects with a clothesline from the top! Kane picks up Regal looking for the Chokeslam, but Jackson breaks it up, and then pulls Kane to the outside.

In the middle of the ring, Christian looks for the Killswitch on Regal, but he counters. Christian kicks him in the gut and tries again, but right as he is turning the move around Jackson tags Regal! William is hit with the Killswitch, but it doesn’t matter because Jackson is the legal man! Ezekiel charges in and connects with his finisher!

Christian vs. William Regal (w/ Ezekiel Jackson)
They lock up and Regal backs Christian into the corner and he gives a clean break. They lock up again and they roll around the ring until Regal connects with a knee and then he gives Christian an arm drag as he starts to work on the arm and hand. Christian with an arm wringer as he works on Regal’s hand. Regal with a kip up and he tries for a reversal and he takes Christian down and gets a near fall. Christian with a near fall while they are in a knuckle lock.

Regal takes Christian down. They return to a vertical base and Regal returns to the arm and he stretches Christian. Christian with punches to Regal followed by a back body drop and Regal rolls to the floor. Christian with a hesitation drop kick and then he goes out after Regal and brings him back into the ring. Regal sees Jackson approach him on the apron and Christian goes to the floor and gets in Jackson’s face as we go to commercial.

We are back and Christian has Regal in a side head lock. We see footage from the commercial when Christian hit a cross body on Regal for a near fall. We are back to the action in the ring and Christian with shoulders in the corner. Christian with an Irish whip but Regal with forearms and kicks for a near fall. Regal with an arm bar and chin lock and he turns it into a full nelson. Christian escapes the hold and he tries for a back slide but Regal kicks Christian in the leg to stop the move. Regal chokes Christian in the ropes. Regal with a forearm to the chest followed by a back elbow for a near fall.

Regal with a modified cobra clutch on Christian. Christian with punches but he runs into a forearm from Regal. Regal gets another near fall. Regal continues with the rear chin lock. Christian tries for the Killswitch but Regal avoids it and hits an Exploder. Regal kicks Christian in the head and Christian’s head hits the ring post. Regal with an elbow drop and then he punches Christian before getting another near fall. Regal with a knee drop and then he works on the neck with a nerve hold. Christian with an inside cradle for a near fall. Regal with the running knee to the head but Christian with punches.

Christian with a side head lock but Christian with a running forearm. Christian with a tornado DDT to Regal and then he gets another near fall. Christian goes to the turnbuckles again and he hits a drop kick from the second turnbuckle. Christian goes up top and he misses a missile drop kick when Regal moves out of the way. Christian with a jackknife cover for a near fall when he avoids the running knee. Christian with a sunset flip but Regal rolls through and connects with a knee to the head. Christian goes to the turnbuckles again and hits a back elbow and he tries for the Killswitch but Regal is sent to the floor. Jackson attacks Christian from behind and then he slams Christian.
Winner: Christian

After the match, Regal hits the running knee to the head and then Jackson hits the uranage on Christian. He hits another uranage as we go to credits

Captain Charisma provided commentary at the ECW announce table as Jackson defeated former ECW Champions CM Punk, Matt Hardy and Kane, as well as Evan Bourne, Shelton Benjamin, Yoshi Tatsu and Vance Archer. Jackson even single-handedly eliminated the three former ECW Titleholders himself. But will Jackson prove to be as dominant a force on Jan. 31 when he faces ECW Champion Christian at Royal Rumble?

Christian comes to the ring and he has something to say. He says that it is fitting that they are in Louisville, Kentucky because they are in the homestretch for ECW Homecoming to see who faces him at the Royal Rumble.

CM Punk interrupts Christian and he comes out with Luke Gallows. Punk says that while he is positive that what Christian had to say was important, nobody can say anything more important than what Punk has to say right now. Punk wants to know why Christian is grinning since he hasn’t really said anything. Christian tells Punk that last night he saw something that he would never see with Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels hugging in the ring. He is now seeing something he never wanted to see and that is CM Punk back on ECW. Punk says that being back on ECW is something Christian better get used to. Punk says that Christian’s title is why he is here. Homecoming is about former champions and stars coming back to get a chance to win the ECW Title. Punk says that he will win tonight and next week to face Christian at the Royal Rumble and win the title. Punk says that he will prove that by winning the ECW Title, he is better than everyone. He says that he is everyone’s savior. He says that he is a natural born leader. Punk says that ECW is home to the brightest, youngest, and newest stars. Punk says that he will be the shepherd and a role model for all of them. He will show them how to live the straight edge way.

Christian asks if the straight edge way means that you look like you haven’t taken a shower in two weeks. Christian says that Punk might be speaking too soon because of the people who have qualified already and he mentions that Shelton Benjamin will be facing Chavo Guerrero to try to qualify. Christian asks Punk who he is wrestling and then he says that Punk will be beaten by the World’s Strongest Man. Christian says that Punk won’t smoke, drink, do drugs, or face him for the title at the Royal Rumble.
